The Original Hillcrest Masonic Lodge Building Across From SMU
Below is an image from the Halls of The Grand Lodge of Texas AF&AM, depicting the original building of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #1318. Hillcrest Lodge was named after the street it was founded on. HIllcrest was located on Hillcrest road across the street from Southern Methodist University, and more specifically directly across the street from the Dedman School of Law at SMU and is the only masonic lodge to have ever met within the Park Cities.
As the community grew we later sold the building, later buying a commercial building in Uptown, and again moving into the Love Field Quarry located just outside of University Park, which is where you can find us today.
