Dallas & Fort Worth Masons came together for Hillcrest Masonic Lodge’s September Stated Meeting
Freemasons from many masonic lodges in Dallas and Fort Worth met together at Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #1318 to visit and enjoy in masonic fellowship, and in hopes to receive one of Hillcrest Masonic Lodges new lapel pins.
Hillcrest Masonic Lodge had many visiting Freemasons at this months meeting. Word got out that Past Master Kyle Wahlquist had designed an interesting lapel pin for the lodge. The pin got out on facebook and spread to instagram and after the brothers realized that they could have one by simply visiting the lodge, guys started forming caravans to come over for dinner and fellowship.
The meeting was full of events. Right Worshipful J. Darrell Kirkley from Highland Park Lodge made his second official visit, and gave the Grand Masters update. Presentations were given to members of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge for their work with the lodge. Patrick Briody was announced as the awardee for the Golden Trowel award, which is a lifetime achievement award for dedication of oneself to the craft.
All in all, Hillcrest Masonic Lodge received about 18 visitors at this meeting, and each one received one of the lapel pins. There were masons from many of the lodges of Dallas and Tarrant counties, and everyone enjoyed sharing in the fellowship and camaraderie.
If you are a mason and would like to have one of these masonic lapel pins for yourself, we would love to have you visit our masonic lodge at either an upcoming stated meeting, or a degree. Pins are limited so get them while you can!
