Hillcrest Lodge welcomes its newest Master Mason, Brother Micah Thornton, raised on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Brother Thornton is a third generation Master Mason and both his grandfather and father were present. The grandfather, Brother Dennis Thornton is currently the Senior Warden at Sapulpa Lodge #170 under jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, and the father, Brother Mitch Thornton, is currently serving as Junior Deacon of Hillcrest Lodge.
The newest Master Mason, Brother Micah Thornton, is a Past Master Councilor of the Richardson DeMolay Chapter and a member of the Chivalric Knights of the Holy Order of the Fellow Soldiers of Jacques DeMolay (an appendent organization of DeMolay International known as “the Priory”). Although Brother Dennis Thornton’s father was not a Mason, there are long lines of Masons in the Thornton ancestry. All three Thorntons were very honored to be together to share in this very important day in their lives and were grateful to be among their Brethren.
