The Fantastic Teeth Fan Club is a prominent statewide dental health program created by the Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas (MCFS) aimed at combating childhood tooth decay. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area and across Texas, local Masonic Lodges partner with elementary schools to assemble and deliver hundreds of thousands of free preventative dental hygiene kits to first-grade students. Local Masons, such as the brethren at Dallas’s Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #1318, gather every fall to manually pack bags for nearby schools.
Each customized hygiene prevention kit features a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, a toothbrush cover, a fun sticker, and a signature two-minute timer to teach kids exactly how long they need to brush.
Bilingual Outreach: The kits include tooth decay prevention literature published in both English and Spanish to ensure parents have the information they need to build healthy oral hygiene habits at home.
Massive Community Impact: Since its inception as a pilot program in 2010, the volunteer-led initiative has successfully distributed free kits to over 1.4 million Texas children.
