STUART MASON IS GETTING MARRIED
From Stuart:
Michele Griffin Randall accepted my proposal of marriage and we will be married in a small ceremony in Denton on July 10, 2010. We have been friends since high school, and the Lord brought us together last year.
The ceremony will be a small family event, but we are having a larger gathering that evening at the Pour House in Denton at 8:00 pm July 10. Everyone is welcome to celebrate our new life together and share some fun and fellowship.

FROM THE EAST - JUNE
It is now time for the June Beacon and it brings with it, as it probably has for many who have had the honor to sit in the East, some reflection. This time a year ago we were finalizing the sale of our building on McKinney. It was a long and arduous process to get to that point and involved the efforts of many Lodge members. We then moved to focus on temporary relocation. I can’t help but think of moving all of our files, furniture and other items on that hot summer day last year. But we did find a home at Love Field, and I am so appreciative of how warmly we have been welcomed by the members of Love Field Lodge, No. 1274.
EA DEGREE
We will be conferring an EA degree this Tuesday (June 1) at 7:30 with dinner at 6:30. The degree will be held at Love Field Lodge and the candidate will be joined by his father who is a visiting Master Mason from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Please join us for dinner and the conferral of the EA degree. Please email me or the Worshipful Master if you have any questions.
FROM THE EAST - MAY
For those of you that missed our April Stated Meeting, we were honored with the visit of our District Deputy Grand Master, R.W.: Mike Biddler. I thank all of you who helped in our preparations to receive our DDGM and were there to hear the Grand Master’s message. As to relocation discussions, we are moving to a point where these considerations will hopefully not dominate our efforts and gatherings. As this is being written, there are still some open issues but these should shortly be resolved, in one manner or another. We will be keeping everyone informed as to status, but I am now hopeful we can return to focusing on more normal Lodge business and other Masonic matters at our Stated Meetings and weekly gatherings.
GRAND MASTERS VISIT TO HELLA SHRINE
It is once again time for the Grand Masters visit to Hella Shrine. Like we have done in the past, Hillcrest has committed to two tables (16 seats.) This is the minimum headcount we are trying to achieve as a lodge, so that we can display ourselves as a prominent lodge in Dallas. I personally would like to see us take at least 3 tables, and based off of past attendances, I don't think this is too lofty of a goal.
FROM THE EAST - APRIL
Time has seemed to slip past me once again as I rush to get something to our Junior Steward for inclusion in the Beacon. With his patience and my last minute scribbling, I hopefully will provide him with some level of substance in what otherwise might be taken for something better suited to an April Fools posting. Perhaps some might find some sympathy as we all juggle our daily endeavors that, at the end of the day, prove to be rather unimportant. But that doesn’t stop them from taking far too much of our time and efforts. But I am heartened by the fact that we all have better days ahead as reminded in the celebration of renewal and rebirth that spring brings.
